About Burnt Co

Burnt Co started in the small Idaho farm country of Kimberly with a simple idea: make something that felt like the life we loved living outside.

Bird dogs in the willows. Boots on the trail. Cold mornings in the uplands. Long days in the mountains. A rod in your hand, a dog at your side, and that feeling you get when you finally reach the top—or when the whole field goes quiet and your dog locks up.

Those are the things that stick with you.

Burnt Co was born because we wanted to put a little of that life into what we wore every day.

It started with a bird dog hat Aaron couldn't find anywhere else. So we made one.

That first hat became a collection of hats, hoodies, and tees built around the places we go, the animals we chase, and the people we share it all with.

Today, Burnt Co is still rooted in Idaho and inspired by the wide-open country around us. Our designs are drawn from bird dogs, upland birds, big game, rivers, mountains, and the simple things that make a life outdoors worth living.

We don't make gear for sitting on a shelf.

Our hats are meant to get tossed in the truck, worn before daylight, and broken in over miles of backroads and trails. Our hoodies are for cold mornings, campfires, and whatever the day brings. Our tees are made for the days between hunts and the places that don't require a season.

Every design starts with something real—an animal, a place, a memory, or a part of the outdoors that means something to us.

And wherever possible, we keep the details simple and the quality high.

Our leather patches are made from high-grade vegetable-tanned leather and individually cut, burnt, and finished intentionally. All of our products are consciously made to order to reduce waste, and we use sustainable, recyclable, or compostable materials whenever possible on all of our shipments to help keep the outdoors wild and free. We choose colors and materials that feel at home outside, because that's where we expect our gear to be.

We're Aaron and Hannah, the husband-and-wife team behind Burnt Co.

Idaho has always been a big part of our story. It's where we've spent much of our lives, where Burnt Co began, and where we continue to raise our family and find plenty of reasons to get outside.

These days, you'll find us in open country chasing birds with our dog and kids, exploring the mountains and rivers around us, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and making the most of a day outside.

Burnt Co is a reflection of that life.
